Corporate Environmental Policy Statement

This statement has been developed by ALDAR Properties PJSC to stress our beliefs that successful Environmental management plays a significant role in its business and to confirm our commitment to the continuous improvement in this area.
For this reason it is ALDAR Properties PJSC aim that no harm should come to the Environment and that adequate protection is provided. It is recognized that ALDAR Properties PJSC and all the work produced on our behalf will meet, and where necessary exceed all relevant environmental legislation, regulations and other applicable requirements.
ALDAR Properties PJSC will endeavour to ensure all relevant parties:

• Control all environmental impacts based on the prevention of pollution or, where this is not possible or practicable, the minimization of pollution using the Best Available Techniques (BAT).
• Are aware of any risks to the Environment which may occur within or outside the agreed site area as a result of their activities.
• Seek advice from an approved specialist environmental consultant as to what measures should be taken to prevent or reduce to an acceptable level (as agreed by the local authorities) the impact on the environment of activities taking place under the contract in question.
• Have procedures in place to enable the monitoring of all discharges into the environment, be they liquid, solid or gaseous and ensure adherence to permissible threshold emission levels.
• Examine contract documents, specifications and drawings to establish whether any activities which take place as part of the contract may have an impact on the environment.
• Provide Information, Training and Instruction to enhance awareness of relevant environmental issues and ensure effective management of environmental impacts.
• Maintain, review and report on clear environmental performance indicators including; monthly environmental inspections and audits, incident performance rates, training achievements and monthly environmental objectives.
• Assess employees and sub-contractors to ensure their environmental performance is of the highest standards, inline with legislative requirements and are committed to the prevention of pollution and protection of the environment.

This Environmental Statement of Intent will be reviewed and, if necessary, revised on an annual basis.
