Al-Futtaim signs up for Aldar's Motor World development

Aldar Properties, Abu Dhabi's leading property development, investment and management company, today confirmed that Al-Futtaim will be part of Motor World, the multi-use automotive development in Abu Dhabi dedicated to buying, selling and servicing of both new and pre-owned cars.

Motor World is designed to be a one-stop shop for customers, providing all related services under one roof. Located near Abu Dhabi International Airport, Motor World will be a highly accessible automotive hub that has been master planned in line with the Abu Dhabi 2030 Urban Structure Framework Plan requirements.

With its unique combination of both residential and mixed-use components, including a 3-star hotel with a business centre and a variety of food outlets, Motor World will address the growing demand for a family-friendly automotive experience. Construction will begin this quarter.

The announcement came following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding by Omar Al-Futtaim, Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Al Futtaim and Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh, Chairman of Aldar Properties.

Al-Futtaim's Automotive division represents some of the world's most popular car and truck brands including Toyota, Lexus, Hino, Honda, Volvo, Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge and is acknowledged as a pioneer in the region's automotive industry.

Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh, Chairman of Aldar Properties, added: "It is a great honour that Al-Futtaim Automotive have endorsed the Motor World development by selecting it as a key strategic automotive location in Abu Dhabi and beyond. Mr. Al-Futtaim was accompanied by Len Hunt, Group Director Automotive and other senior officials from the Al-Futtaim group.
