ALDAR and Paul Casey make perfect partners
ALDAR Properties PJSC signed a sponsorship agreement with top European golfer and the winner of the 2007 Abu Dhabi Golf Championship, Paul Casey in April 2007. The agreement sees Abu Dhabi's leading property developer showcase their branding on Paul Casey's golfing equipment. Meanwhile, Paul Casey will act as a brand ambassador for ALDAR and champion the development initiatives of Abu Dhabi across the world. Paul Casey epitomises ALDAR's ethos. The 2007 Abu Dhabi Golf Championship
ALDAR PJSC is proud to have continued their Diamond sponsorship of the Abu Dhabi Golf Championship – the UAE capital’s largest sporting event. In all, some 23,040 spectators attended the four days of play from January 18 – 21st 2007. The event, which is hosted by the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority, culminated in England’s Paul Casey lifting the coveted Falcon Trophy. A double celebration for ALDAR as their Pro-Am team. ALDAR’s CIO, John Shaw, Maurizio La Noce and Sohail Al Mazrouei played with Paul in the Pro-Am Golf Competition on January 17th. This is the second year that a Professional playing with an ALDAR pro-am team has won the overall championship. The four days of play offered some spectacular golf from some of the sport’s leading players and further assisted in building Abu Dhabi’s reputation as an international golfing and leisure destination. ALDAR also sponsored the events’ ‘Virtual Eye’ – a mix of real life and graphic simulation using 3D models, global positioning systems and realistic fairway flyovers to provide viewers in 120 million homes in 30 countries with real time information about players’ ball positions and course information. Given the increase in family attendance, parents who turned up with young children were able to let them have fun – safely, in the professionally manned bouncy castle fun park area which had been specially constructed for and sponsored by ALDAR. “The sheer volume of support generated by the 2007 Abu Dhabi Golf Championship and the publicity generated will attract even more talent and spectators to next years’ event and we would like to take this opportunity of thanking the organizers and everyone involved in making it such a wonderful occasion,” said Ahmed Al Sayegh, Chairman of ALDAR. ALDAR Properties PJSC will be an official sponsor of the 18th Gulf Football Cup, which will take place in the UAE during January 2007. This sponsorship is part of ALDAR’s commitment to invest in and promote the UAE through supporting major cultural, social and sporting events. ALDAR is proud to extend its support for the UAE’s national sport. The Cup, which is an annual event was first held in 1970 and brings together the national teams of the GCC (Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE), as well as our close neighbors Iraq and Yemen.
The Presidents Cup Football Tournament
ALDAR Properties PJSC is the major sponsor of the 2006 President’s Cup Tournament. The tournament, which attracts all the first and second division clubs throughout the UAE, will be played out over the next two months, culminating in a glittering final on April 5 at Zayed Sports City Stadium in Abu Dhabi. The quarter finals will take place from 3-10 February with the semi-finals on March 26 and 27.
