The Imperial College London Diabetes Centre

The Imperial College London Diabetes Centre is a specialised facility for diabetes treatment, care and research, an initiative resulting from a partnership between Imperial College London and Mubadala Development Company. The centre will comprise a treatment unit for diabetes and its complications, as well as and a research institute to look into why diabetes is occurring at an alarming rate in the UAE. One major emphasis of the Centre is to develop and encourage methods of prevention and reversal of the underlying causes of diabetes. The facility will provide state-of-the-art medical facilities and the latest technology in diabetic treatment.

The facility will be developed on a fast track programme and will be fully commissioned and operational by mid 2006. Upon completion, ALDAR will instigate its own dedicated property facilities management to ensure that the building is maintained to the highest standards at all times.

Location

The Imperial College London Diabetes Centre building will be located beside the Zayed Military Hospital Building, on Mussaffah Road (at the intersection of 29th and 30th streets) in Abu Dhabi.
