H.E. Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak
H.E. Mohamed Al Mubarak is a member of the Executive Council of Abu Dhabi, overseeing some of the Emirate’s most significant institutions across the culture, tourism, media, entertainment, and real estate sectors, HE Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak plays a critical role in driving Abu Dhabi’s growth as a sustainable, diversified and globally-integrated economy.
Al Mubarak was appointed as the Chairman of the Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) in 2015, where he oversees the cultural development of the Emirate and its promotion as a global destination, through the integration of tourism regulations and the active engagement of local, regional and international audiences.
Since its inception and under His Excellency’s leadership, DCT Abu Dhabi has achieved remarkable milestones including the opening of Louvre Abu Dhabi in 2017, recognised globally as one of the world’s most iconic cultural attractions, as well as the reopening of Qasr Al Hosn, the oldest landmark in Abu Dhabi, representing the emirate’s evolution into a modern, global metropolis.
Al Mubarak is also the Chairman of Aldar Properties, the Emirate’s leading real estate developer, which also plays a key part in the development and provision of international-standard education through Aldar Academies.
In addition, his Excellency is Chairman of Miral Asset Management, where he has led the transformation of key areas within the Emirate, including Yas Island, and has developed strategic partnerships such as the one established with Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi™. Al Mubarak is also the Chairman of twofour54, Abu Dhabi’s media freezone and content creation hub, which encompasses broadcast, publishing, music, digital media, and gaming. He is also the Chairman of Image Nation Abu Dhabi, the Emirati film production and media company. Through these roles, he continues to guide the Emirate’s urban development as well as the growth of its creative ecosystem.
Al Mubarak is a member of the Higher Committee of Human Fraternity, where he is joined by international religious leaders, educational scholars, and cultural leaders across the world, to support and spread the values of mutual respect and peaceful coexistence. The Committee provides counsel on various initiatives, including the Abrahamic Family House, which is to be built in Abu Dhabi.
His Excellency also serves as Vice-Chair on the Foundation Board of ALIPH, the international alliance for the protection of heritage in conflict areas. Furthermore, Al Mubarak is a board member of the Emirates Schools Establishment, an independent federal entity with a mandate to manage and operate public schools.
Al Mubarak is a graduate of Northeastern University (Boston, USA), with a double major in Economics and Political Science.
Waleed Ahmed Almokarrab Al Muhairi
Waleed is also a member of Mubadala's Investment Committee, which is mandated to develop the company's investment policies, establish investment guidelines, and review proposed projects and investments to ensure they are in line with business objectives. He is also the Chairman of Mubadala's new investment and business planning committee, which approves deals within a certain financial threshold in addition to the responsibility of annual and multi-year business planning. Furthermore, Waleed has oversight of the Real Estate & Infrastructure and Disruptive platforms.
Waleed currently serves as Chairman of Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Waha Capital, Global Institute for Disease of the Board of Trustees of Cleveland Clinic in the United States. He is also a board member of Aldar, Noon.com, First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB), Hub71, Ellipses Pharma Limited, and Investcorp
Waleed holds a Master’s Degree in Public Policy from Harvard University, USA, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Foreign Service from Georgetown University, USA.
H.E. Mohamed Hassan Alsuwaidi
H.E. is a member of the Board of Directors at ADNOC Distribution, Abu Dhabi Pension Fund, Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation (ENEC), Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA), Louis Dreyfus Company (LDC), Aldahra Holding and Lulu Group International.
Before joining ADQ, H.E. led Metals and Mining for Mubadala Investment Company, where he worked in investment management across a wide range of sectors including Real Estate, Hospitality, Infrastructure, Utilities, Technology, Agriculture, and Metals and Mining
Prior to that, H.E. held several board positions, which included Suyadi CPC plant in China, Guinea Alumina Corporation in Guinea, Sociedad Minera de Santander Gold Mine in Colombia, Minas de Aguas Teñidas Copper Mine in Spain, Muharaq STP in Bahrain, Mubadala Reinsurance and Almanhal Development Company. H.E. also gained experience in Retail Banking and Finance from Union National Bank, Abu Dhabi Ship Building and General Secretariat of Abu Dhabi Executive Council.
H.E. holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from United Arab Emirates University.
Hamad Salem Mohamed Al Ameri
Mr. Al Ameri is a graduate of Civil Engineering from the American University in Dubai, and also holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the Canadian University.
Khalifa Abdullah Khamis Al Romaithi
Khalifa Al Romaithi is the Executive Director of the UAE Real estate unit within Mubadala’s UAE Investments platform. The platform contributes to the acceleration of the UAE’s economic transformation, and investing in national world class champions, fostering vibrant industrial and commercial clusters, and partnering with world-class global entities.
With over 19 years of experience, Khalifa holds several Board positions across several portfolio companies including Aldar Properties, DEPA Group, Emirates Driving Company & Abu Dhabi National Takaful Company.
Khalifa holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a major in Finance from the University of Portland, United States.
Sofia Abdellatif Lasky
She has overseen the acquisition of numerous companies in a variety of core industries, including real estate, contracting, food processing, preventive healthcare, and capital investments. Her contribution towards the growth of companies within the Royal Group has been invaluable. Sofia has also served as a Board Member of Macquarie Capital Middle East LLC.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in Management Information Technology from the United Kingdom.
Ali Saeed Abdulla Sulayem Al Falasi
His contribution was so great that he was appointed as Undersecretary for Operations Department in the private Department of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. Where he oversaw all the activities of the Operations Department during that period.
Bin Sulayem joined the Royal Group after his tenure in the private Department and his role was Director of Internal Audit and currently a member of the Audit Committee, as well as a large number of other companies in the industrial fields, real estate, finance and trade fields.
Bin Sulayem holds a Master’s degree in business administration from the University of Sharjah, a BSc in Production and Operations Management from California State University, USA, and a BA in Accounting from UAE University.
Talal Al Dhiyebi
Group Chief Executive Officer, Aldar Properties
Talal Al Dhiyebi is the Group Chief Executive Officer at Aldar Properties, having previously held the positions of Chief Development Officer and Executive Director of Asset Management, amongst other senior positions within the group.
He serves on the boards of numerous companies, including Chairman of Aldar Investment, Chairman of Aldar Estates, Chairman of Musanada, Vice-Chairman of Aldar Education, and board member of Miral Asset Management, Abu Dhabi Motorsports Management, Sandooq Al Watan, Abu Dhabi Housing Authority, and Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Talal is a graduate of Electrical Engineering from the University of Melbourne, Australia
Chief Financial & Sustainability Officer
Greg Fewer is the Chief Financial and Sustainability Officer at Aldar Properties. He is responsible for a broad remit that covers finance, corporate finance, treasury and sustainability.
Prior to joining Aldar in 2011, Mr Fewer was Deputy Head of Structured Finance & Capital Markets at Mubadala, and an Associate Director at Barclays Investment Bank in London.
Mr Fewer holds a Master of Business Administration from London Business School, UK.
Jassem Saleh Busaibe
CEO Aldar Investment
Jassem Saleh Busaibe is the Chief Executive Officer at Aldar Investment. He has over 15 years of experience in finance and investment, having held a number of high-profile roles at several private and public sector companies in Abu Dhabi. Prior to joining Aldar, he was the Chief Finance Officer at SENAAT and previously served as CEO of Arady Properties.
Mr Busaibe was also formerly Senior Vice President of Private Equities at the Abu Dhabi Investment Company, Invest AD, and spent seven years at the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA), where he worked as a Portfolio Manager focusing on European Equities.
Mr Busaibe is a CFA Charter holder and holds an MSc in Finance from London Business School, UK.
Bayan Hassan Al Hosani
People, Culture & Performance Executive Director
Bayan Al Hosani is the Executive Director for People, Culture & Performance at Aldar Properties. In her capacity, Al Hosani leads the people experience to ensure a seamless journey for all employees, including clear career development plans. She also supports organisational development, talent acquisition and retention, and performance management. Additionally, Al Hosani spear heads Aldar’s Emiratisation strategy, which aligns with government initiatives and the company’s vision to be regarded as a great place to work.
Al Hosani joined Aldar in 2005 and has successfully managed strategic merger and acquisition transactions from People, Change and Culture perspectives. She was the first female member of Aldar’s Executive Management Committee, and is Vice Chairwoman of Aldar Hotels & Hospitality and a member of the Board of Directors for Aldar Education and Khidmah.
Al Hosani is a Graduate of Business Administration from the Higher Colleges of Technology and is a certified professional from the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).
Emma O’Brien is the General Counsel at Aldar, and is responsible for the company’s legal and governance affairs.
Emma joined Aldar in 2014, having previously practiced in a number of International law firms, both in UAE/Abu Dhabi and the UK/London. She has advised on a wide range of transactions including mergers and acquisitions, international arbitrations, public private partnerships and major development projects.
Emma is a graduate of the Universities of Birmingham and the West of England in the United Kingdom, and a Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales.
Chief Executive Officer, Aldar Development
Jonathan Emery is the Chief Executive Officer at Aldar Development and is responsible for all development activities across the company.
Throughout his 30+ years in the global real estate industry, Jonathan has held senior positions at leading developers including UK Managing Director at Hammerson, Managing Director of Development and Communities at Majid Al Futtaim and most recently at Lendlease, a multinational construction, property and infrastructure company, where he was both CEO of the firm’s global residential practice and Managing Director of Property for Europe, and prior to that he was their Managing Director of Development for Australia.
Jonathan is a graduate of Nottingham Trent University in the United Kingdom, and has attended a number of other academic institutions including Henley Management College, Harvard, INSEAD, and has been a visiting professor at Yale University.
